Phoenix High School Admission Process
Phoenix High School (PHS) provides an alternative path to graduation for students who are significantly behind in high school credits. Seniors are given priority for enrollment. Juniors may also be considered based on their individual circumstances and available space.
-
Students interested in attending PHS should talk with their EHS counselor. The counselor will help determine whether PHS may be an appropriate option.
-
EHS staff will review the student’s situation and, when appropriate, submit the request to the District Phoenix High School Committee.
-
The District PHS Committee reviews each request and considers factors such as the student’s credits, attendance, grades, discipline, age, and available space.
-
The committee makes the final enrollment decision.
-
If approved, PHS will contact the student and family with information about the enrollment process and the student’s start date.
-
If the request is not approved, the student may be considered again during a future grading period.
